Meeting notes your
IT team can approve.
Quillmoth transcribes and summarizes on each person's Mac. There is no cloud service to review, no bot in the meeting, and no audio leaving the device.
Tell us about your team What IT needs to knowWhy teams choose it
For work where the conversation itself is confidential.
Nothing to vet in the cloud
Audio, transcripts and summaries stay in a folder on the user's Mac. There is no Quillmoth server holding your conversations, so there is no vendor data store to assess.
No bot on the call
Record Meeting captures the person's microphone and the audio their Mac plays, so it works with Zoom, Teams, Meet or FaceTime without adding a participant.
Summaries you can check
Every point in a summary links to the line of transcript that backs it. Anything the transcript doesn't support is left out and listed separately.
Pay once per seat
Perpetual licenses with volume discounts. No subscription and no per-minute fees. An optional annual plan adds priority support and major-version updates.
Who it fits
- Research teams whose ethics protocols don't allow interviews to be sent to third parties.
- Law firms and consultancies with client confidentiality and NDA obligations.
- Newsrooms protecting sources.
- Companies that have banned meeting bots and still want accurate notes.
Quillmoth helps keep recordings on your own devices. It does not by itself make an organization compliant with any particular regulation, and you remain responsible for getting consent from the people you record.
What IT needs to know
The facts, stated plainly. Ask us for the one-page security summary.
- Where data lives: in the app's sandboxed folder on the user's Mac, as plain files. Exports to text, Markdown, SRT, VTT or JSON.
- Accounts and telemetry in the app: none. No sign-in, no analytics, no usage tracking, no ads.
- Network use: a one-time download of the summary model (about 2 to 4 GB, depending on the Mac), made only when the user first asks for a summary and confirms. After that, summaries and answers work offline. Apple's own speech-recognition assets for a language may also download once through macOS.
- Permissions: microphone, and "System Audio Recording Only" for recording meetings. Quillmoth does not need Screen Recording.
- Sandboxing: the app is App Sandboxed with microphone, network-client and user-selected-file access.
- Requirements: Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later. 16 GB of memory or more is recommended for the best summaries.
- Consent: Quillmoth reminds people to tell participants they are being recorded. Your policy and local law decide when consent is required.

Questions
Can we try it before buying seats?
Yes. The free version includes 3 transcripts of up to 30 minutes each, 1 summary and 3 questions, with no account.
Do you offer education or nonprofit pricing?
We plan to. Mention it when you write to us.
Can the model be hosted inside our network?
It is a possibility for locked-down environments. Tell us if you need it; it shapes what we build first.
Does Quillmoth make us HIPAA, GDPR or privilege compliant?
No software does that by itself. Keeping recordings on each person's device can simplify your review, but compliance depends on how your organization uses it. Ask your counsel.
